I'm Chinese, and most of the guys I have dated have been non-Asians... The whole race issue shouldn't be a factor.. yes it is for some people, but come on now; we're in North America in 2008... Basically, do you two have something in common? Don't socialize with the intention of having a boyfriend/ girlfriend.. just treat them like a friend without boosting up your own ego or trying to show off etc.. People show different faces to people they're interested in. But if you keep things platonic, it's better. Most of my exes I met through school, being friends/ aquaintances first. Some I met through mutual friends and you just start hanging out together more alone, etc...

There is no process or list of sure fire things to say to catch his/ her attention. Just be YOURSELF.. its not and shouldn't be about race.
